ASU Fight Song to Reflect New Mascot

As Arkansas State moves into the Red Wolves era, the Athletic Department announced Wednesday that the school fight song, familiar for years to fans of ASU athletics, has been slightly altered to reflect the institution's new mascot.

The first seven lines of the fight song remain the same, but the final line, which featured the always-popular I-N-D-I-A-N-S spellout, will now include ASU's new mascot.

“The fight song has always been a tradition at Arkansas State, and that will continue with the exception of one minor change,” said Gleen Hart, ASU Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing.  “'Red Wolves' will now replace ?Indians' at the end of the song, with the word ?Red' being shouted and ?Wolves' being spelled out in the same manner as before.”

The lyrics to the ASU fight song are now:

On, on, on to victory!

Brave team you're second to none.

Let's make this game history,

Along with the others we've won!

Fight! Fight! Fight! With all your might!

So that the world may see.

That RED W-O-L-V-E-S means Victory!
