• Give A-State 14 wins through its first 17 games for the 5th time in school history.

• Make A-State 8-0 to start SBC play for the 1st time in their history.

• Make the squad 1-for-2 on chances to start the year 8-0 in SBC play.

• Give Arkansas State its 38th SBC victory over the last three years.

• Give the Red Wolves their 60th victory over the last three years.

• Give A-State head coach Brian Boyer his 286th career win.

WE'RE GOING STREAKING

• A-State has won 18 straight games home games dating back to the 2013-14 season.

• The streak is the 7th longest in the nation.

• During the streak A-State has outscored its opponents 1,347 to 1046 and has a +16.7 average scoring margin.

• Additionally A-State has shot a blistering 46.5% from the field during the run, while holding opponents to 43.2%.

LOOKING AT HISTORY

• A-State's 13-3 start is it's best start since 1996-97 when the team started 15-3 that year. The Red Wolves won 12 consecutive games before losing their fourth game that season. The squad was coached by Jeff Mittie, whom current head coach Brian Boyer was an assistant for.

• Arkansas State also started 14-3 during the 1990-91 and 1992-93 seaons.

• The 6-0 Sun Belt Conferene start is also the best start since the 96-97 team started 7-0 in league play. That start is also the best in school history.

WINNING IN STYLE

• Prior to Thursday's six point victory at UT Arlington, the Red Wolves had won 10 straight games by double-digit point totals.

• Of A-State's 13 wins, only two have been by single digits. The Red Wolves defeated UT Martin by 2 points in November and then defeated the Mavericks by six in January.

• The Red Wolves average margin of victory in it's wins this season is 18.2.

NATIONAL RECOGNITION

• ESPNW.com Graham Hays recently ranked Arkansas State in No. 10 in his latest top-10

mid-major poll that was released on the website on Jan. 20.

• This is the first time that the Red Wolves have appeared in the poll.

• A-State has beaten the No. 2 on Hays' list, Florida Gulf Coast.

SHE CONTINUES TO TURN HEADS

• A-State senior forward Khadija Brown-Haywood has continued her assault on the Sun Belt

Conferene this season with another stellar performance against UT Arlington on Jan. 21.

• She scored a career-high 29 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead A-State in both categories.

• She also turned a PER of 29, tying Aundrea Gamble for the highest mark this season.

• The performance was also her sixth double-double of the year.

SENIOR CLASS AWARD

• Arkansas State senior guard Aundrea Gamble is one of 30 finalists among Division I women's basketball named as a candidate for the 2016 Senior Class Award.

• She is one of two student-athletes from the Sun Belt to make the list. Troy's Ashley Beverly Kelley is also a candidate.

• She is the first women's basketball player from A-State to be named a candidate for the award.

• An acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School®, the Senior CLASS Award honors the attributes of NCAA Division I senior student-athletes in four areas: community, classroom, character and competition.

SEVEN GAMES AND COUNTING

• A-State has a seven game winning entering Saturday's contest at Texas State.

• It is the ninth time in program history that A-State has had a 7 game winning streak.

• The last time it happened was the 2012-13 season when the Red Wolves won 7 straight games.

Khadija Brown-Haywood is averaging 20.1 points and 10.1 rebounds per game during the streak, which also covers all of the Red Wolves SBC games.

TOUGH CONFERENCE SCHEDULE

• The Sun Belt Conference returned to travel partners this year and Appalachian State is the lone team without a travel mate. The Mountaineers face 10 opponents coming off a bye date, but the combined days between games opponents have preparing for Appalachian State are less than what A-State faces this season.

• A-State faces four opponents this season coming off one of their two bye dates on the league schedule in addition to UT Arlington with a two-day leg up. ULM (6), Little Rock (3), Georgia State (6), Louisiana (6) and UT Arlington (2) have a total of 23 days in preparing for A-State while Appalachian State's 10 opponents coming off a bye date total 21 days. ULM has three consecutive Thursday opponents in February coming off a Saturday bye date.

QUARTERLY REVIEW

• The Arkansas State defense has done a very good of keeping teams from scoring "big quarters" against them this season. Out of a possible 64 quarters, the Red Wolves defense has held its opponents to to 15 or fewer points 37 times. Teams have scored 10 or fewer points 16 times.

• On the other end of the floor, the A-State offense has been able to produce big quarters and has scored 20 or more points 28 times this season.

• The squad has scored 25 points in a quarter 7 times and has one 30-plus point quarter.

KHADIJA THE REBOUNDING QUEEN

Khadija Brown-Haywood ranks first among all Sun Belt Conference players with 9.3 rebounds per game. She also ranks third in scoring at 16.8. She is the only player in the league to rank in the top-5 in both categories.

• In league play she averaging 10.1 rebounds and 20.1 points per game. The rebounding average leads the league, while she ranks second in points.

• Nationally she ranks 21st among all Division I players with 7.0 defensive rebounds a game.

TEAMS FINDING IT TOUGH TO SCORE AT THE CONVO

• Teams have averaged just 51.0 points against the Red Wolves this season at the Convo.

• No team has scored more than 60 points (App St.) and two teams have been held to points totals under 50 (ULM - 43 & Wichita State - 40).

• If the average holds, it would be the lowest opponent home scoring average in the Brian Boyer era. The next lowest average is 54.8 during the 2005-06 season.

• Only six of Boyer's have have had opponents scoring averages at the Convo in the 50s.

DISHING OUT DIMES

• The Red Wolves dished out 28 assists as a team against Troy on Dec. 30, tied for the second most in school history.

• A-State also had 28 assists against Lamar during the 1984-85 season.

TOPPING THE CENTURY MARK

• Arkansas State topped the century mark by scoring 101 points against Troy on Dec. 30. It was the first time since March 5, 2014 that the Red Wolves had scored more than 100 points.

• The 101 points are the 10th most in school history. The last time the Red Wolves scored 101 points in a game was on Dec. 1, 2000 against Mississippi Valley State.

NO ONE ELSE IN THE NATION CAN CLAIM THIS

Aundrea Gamble ranks 10th in the nation among active players with a career scoring average of 18.7 points per game, and also ranks 15th in the nation with a career assists average of 4.56.

• No other active players in Division I ranks in the top-15 of both categories.

NO PARTY FOULS AT A-STATE

• The Red Wolves have committed the 12th fewest fouls in the country (236) entering Thursday's contest.

• UT Arlington has committed 281 fouls on the year, which ranks 114th in the nation.

TAKING CARE OF THE BASKETBALL

• Arkansas State has committed the 23rd fewest turnovers in the nation through Tuesday's games.

• A-State has turned the ball over just 221 times on the year and is one of just 17 teams with less than 225 turnovers on the year.

• UT Arlington ranks 181st in the nation with 281 turnovers on the year.

THE MORE ANALYTICAL THE BETTER

• A-State is averaging 99.8 points per 100 possessions, meaning A-State is scoring on nearly half of it's trips on the offensive end.

• The ORTg (offensive team rating) number ranks second during the Brian Boyer era. The 2014-15 team had a rating 101.7.

• Last year's is the only team with a number in the 100s. The previous high was during the 2004-05 season when the team had a number of 93.0.

• Traditionally Boyer's team have averaged an ORTg somewhere between 86-88.

A TOUGH PLACE TO WIN

• A-State became just the 10th team since Florida Gulf Coast became Division I in 2006-07 to defeat the Eagles on their home court.

• With the 62-48 victory, A-State made FGCU 116-10 (as of Nov. 28) on their home court since joining Division I.
