JONESBORO, Ark. (3/29/16) – The NCAA Women's Bowling Championship field will be revealed Wednesday, March 30 when a field of eight teams will be selected to compete in the tournament on the NCAA.com selection show at 3 p.m.

The team will have a watch party that is open to the public in the Woodard McAlister Family Club at Centennial Bank Stadium with doors opening at 2:45 p.m. as A-State appears poised to make its ninth straight appearance in the championship tournament. The 2016 NCAA Tournament is set for April 14-16 in North Brunswick, N.J.

The Red Wolves currently sport a record of 80-31 and were ranked second in the latest National Tenpin Coaches Association Poll. It's the fifth time in school history the team has had 80 or more wins, with four of the five coming under current head coach Justin Kostick.

Most recently, A-State won the 2016 Southland Bowling League Championship March 26.  Arkansas State defeated Louisiana Tech and Stephen F. Austin to open the event before falling to Sam Houston State.  The team ousted Vanderbilt to set up a rematch with the Bearkats and swept SHSU to claim the championship.

Jordan Richard was named the Most Valuable Bowler at the SBL championships, while Jadee Scott-Jones and Brooke Wood were selected to the all-tournament squad.

Prior to the Southland Bowling League championship, the Red Wolves claimed their first three-day tournament championship in two years at the Music City Classic in Smyrna, Tenn., March 18-20. The squad went 11-4 and defeated McKendree 4-1 in the championship match.
