JONESBORO, Ark. (4/18/16) – Arkansas State true freshman Aracelly Jimenez Rios has been tabbed a first team selection on the 2016 All-Sun Belt Conference Women's Golf Team, announced Monday by the league office.

Jimenez Rios, who has collected four top-10 finishes this season, is the first A-State player to earn All-Sun Belt honors since Abi Laker in 2013. The Red Wolves have now had 18 players earn the recognition a combined 31 times.

The Merida, Mexico, native was one of six players in the league to earn first-team honors, while an additional six players received second-team accolades. The Sun Belt Conference Women's Golfer of the Year, Freshman of the Year and Coach of the Year will be nominated and voted upon after the conclusion of the league tournament, currently being held in Miramar Beach, Fla.

Jimenez Rios holds a team-best 75.78 stroke average that is currently tied for the best in school history for a single season. She has posted a season-low round of 70 two different times this year. She claimed medalist honors at the Lady Red Wolves Classic last fall and collected a top-25 finish in four of A-State's last five tournaments.

Jimenez Rios, who is tied for fifth place at the ongoing Sun Belt tournament, recorded her best three-round score of the season at the Lady Red Wolves Classic with a 216.
