Julie Gauguery earned a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Eva Dench in the No. 1 match to earn a point for the No. 10 Red Wolves, but the momentum failed to carry over as the Bobcats won three of the remaining six matches after taking the double's earlier in the morning to seal the victory.
In the No. 6 match, Victoria Pisani led Ammaarah Tim 6-1, 5-3 when the match was called, while true freshman Shelby King had a 6-3, 5-1 lead over Pippa Carr in the No. 2 match.

In the doubles' point, King and Jeresic led Collins and Tim 4-3 in the No. 3 match, but Texas State captured a pair of 6-3 victories in the No. 1 and No. 2 positions to earn the point.
The lose also brings a close to the careers of Sofia Krsmanovic and Stefanov, who were each four-year letter winners at A-State.
