Christian Davis Joins Athletes in Action for Tour of Poland

JONESBORO, Ark. (5/16/16) – Arkansas State men’s basketball forward Christian Davis has been selected to be part of a team of Division I all-stars for a summer tour of Poland as part of the Athletes in Action ministry.

The team departs today, May 27, and begins training in Warsaw on May 28 before beginning a three-game exhibition slate against the Belarus National Team, June 3-5. The team will be led by Gonzaga assistant coach John Jakus.

Joining Davis on the team are Baylor's Ishmail Wainright and King McClure, Missouri State’s Chris Kendrix, Clemson’s Legend Robertin, Northwestern State's Devonte Hall, Ball State's Trey Moses and UAH's Seab Webster. Two players from the Poland U20 team will also be part of the Athletes in Action squad.

The AIA team we will play one game against a University team in Katowice on May 31. The squad will play three games versus the Belarus National Team in the city of Bialystok in Eastern Poland June 3-5. The Belarus National Team will also compete in the European Championship qualification games. During the trip, the group will visit several historical sites, including the Auschwitz Concentration Camp site. The goals of this tour are to provide a rich cross-cultural experience for each team member and for team members to grow in their personal faith.
