NEW ORLEANS, La (1/25/17) – Senior thrower Erin Farmer improved upon her school record in the shot put for a third-straight week and earned Sun Belt Conference Female Field Athlete of the Week honors for her efforts, the league office announced Wednesday.

For the third-straight outing, Erin Farmer set the school record in the shot put, this time winning the Gladstein Invite with a mark of 17.80m (58-4.75). She is the 22nd ranked shot putter all-time in NCAA Women's Indoor competition. The mark ranks her fourth in the World this year and second in the NCAA this season behind the NCAA record holder. All three of her marks this season smash the Sun Belt record of 16.55 (54-3.75). Farmer also competed in the weight throw last week, finishing third with a throw of 18.45m (60-6.50).

The Red Wolves host the A-State Invitational beginning Friday at the Convocation Center.
