JONESBORO, Ark. (3/28/18) – Arkansas State senior thrower Calea Carr was named Sun Belt Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday.

Carr won the discus throw competition at the Mississippi State Bulldog Relays last weekend with a throw of 52.13m (171-0). That mark ranks her tops among her peers in the league and 16th on the NCAA West Region qualifying list.

The A-State track and field teams return to action this weekend at the Ole Miss Classic. Action is scheduled to commence on Friday at 9:00 a.m. with the women's hammer throw.
