JONESBORO, Ark. (4/4/18) – A record breaking performance earned junior distance runner Anaelle Charles Sun Belt Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week honors, the league office announced Wednesday.

Charles ran to the 1,500-meter run record with a time of 4:29.76 to break Rexi Parcells' previous record of 4:30.71. Charles improved upon her previous best of 4:40.87 in the record-breaking performance at the Ole Miss Classic last weekend.

The A-State Track & Field teams return to action this weekend in Athens, Ga., for the Georgia Spec Towns Invitational. The Red Wolves Open is set for April 20-21 at the A-State Track & Field Complex.
