JONESBORO, Ark. (7/29/10) - For the fourth consecutive year the Sun Belt Conference has exceeded the previous year's record number of student athletes on the league's Commissioner's list and Sun Belt Academic Honor Roll, this year placing 1,710 student-athletes on the two lists. Of those student-athletes 128 represented Arkansas State surpassing the number from last year.

ASU had 65 student-athletes named to the Commissioner's List which honors students recording a 3.5 GPA or better and had 63 athletes recognized on the Academic Honor Roll which is awarded to those maintaining a 3.0-3.49 GPA.

The total of 1,710 student-athletes that were honored league-wide tops the previous highs of 1,700 set during the 2008-09 school year, 1,503 for the 2007-08 school year and 1,429 for the 2006-07 school year.
