JUNIOR SEASON (2016): Made 19 appearances on the year, with eight starts on the bump ... tied for the team lead in wins with a 5-3 mark and pitched to a 6.59 ERA ... threw the most innings on the team with 69.2 ... gave up 95 hits and 59 runs with 51 earned ... led the team with 73 strikeouts, which also ranked eighth in the Sun Belt Conference ... earned his only save of the season April 16 versus Troy with 1.2 scoreless innings and one hit allowed ... faced a career-high 33 batters and threw 133 pitches in 7.1 innings pitched out of the bullpen in game one of a doubleheader against App State to earn the win after one run on nine hits with seven punch outs ... struck out a season-best eight batters against Milwaukee March 4 ... named to the SBC Commissioner's List.
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2015): Made 21 appearances with eight starts on the mound ... registered a 7-4 record with a 3.54 ERA ... the seven wins led the team and were tied for third most in the conference ... pitched 73.2 innings and picked up one save ... had 72 strikeouts with 28 walks ... 72 K's were ninth most in the conference and had 23 strikeouts looking was tied for fifth in the league ... held batters to a .234 batting average last season, which was tied for sixth best in the conference ... made five quality starts on the year ... tossed a season-high eight innings against No. 7 Louisville Feb. 21 in first game of a doubleheader and held the Cardinals scoreless on two hits with two walks and three strikeouts while earning his first win of the season ... won the SBC Pitcher of the Week award and College Sports Madness SBC Player of the Week award for his performance against Louisville ... went seven innings against Georgia Southern March 20 and struck out 13 batters, the most by an A-State pitcher this season, and helped A-State strikeout a school record 21 hitters in the game ... the first 11 outs he recorded against the Eagles March 20 were via strikeout ... made nine scoreless outings in the season, including seven out of the bullpen ... tossed five innings in relief against Appalachian State April 26 and Texas State May 8 and picked up wins in both contests ... picked up two wins against Texas State on May 8 and May 10 and didn't allow a run in 6.2 innings combined on three hits with one walk and eight strikeouts ... did not throw a wild pitch all season ... picked up only save of the season in A-State's 6-2 win over Georgia State May 22 in the SBC Tournament after not allowing a run or hit in 1.2 innings.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2014): Made 24 appearances all out of the bullpen … had a 2.34 ERA with a 2-1 record and 33 strikeouts and four saves … inherited the closer role midway through the season … had a 1.35 ERA with 1-0 and three saves during Sun Belt Conference play ... gave up just two runs in 13.1 innings during league action … in 10 innings against Memphis he held the Tigers to just four hits and no runs while striking out nine … earned the first win of his collegiate career April 15 against the Tigers … tied a season-high six strikeouts against Troy on May 21 in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament … also had six strikeouts against Memphis on April 15 … earned the first save of his career on April 27 at Georgia State ... on the final ballot for the NCBWA Freshman All-America team.
HIGH SCHOOL: A standout pitcher at White Hall High School in White Hall, Ark., where he helped lead the Bulldogs to the 5A state championship during his junior season ... was an all-state, all-state tournament, and all-conference team selection as a junior ... earned all-tournament honors at the Billy Bock Classic and was chosen as an Xtra Innings All-Star ... during his junior season he finished with a 5-5 record in 59 2/3 innings on the mound ... compiled a 1.87 earned run average and struck out 72 batters ... at the plate he had a .333 batting average, had 14 RBI and had an on-base percentage of .451.
