JONESBORO (6/19/08) ? The Arkansas State University football program will host the Second Annual Women's Football Clinic with Red Wolf Head Coach Steve Roberts July 17 at the football complex on campus.
Clinic registration fee is $27 with all proceeds benefiting the ASU Ticket for Kids program. Dinner, catered by Outback Steakhouse, will be served at 5:30 p.m. and clinic activities run from 6:30 p.m.-9 p.m.
“We had such a strong response from the women in the Jonesboro community and surrounding area last year,” said Gleen Hart, Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Promotions. “Everyone enjoyed learning about the game from the coaching staff as well as some of the players. We look forward to having an even larger group this year.”
In addition to the dinner, the clinic, which is open to women only who are aged 16 and older, includes a welcome and introduction by Roberts and his staff, video footage of offense and defense, and basic rules and strategies of football. All attendees are eligible for prizes. Casual dress with loose fitting shirts and shorts is recommended.
Attendees should RSVP by July 10. For more information regarding the clinic, contact the ASU Marketing Department at 870-972-3880.
