Arkansas State Men?s and Women?s Basketball Games Versus WKU To Be Broadcast On DirecTV Channel 617

JONESBORO, Ark. (2/19/10) – This Saturday's Arkansas State basketball games will be broadcast live by HSSN on DirecTV channel 617.

The broadcast will also be viewed locally in Bowling Green, Ky. with WKU's radio broadcast team providing the commentary.

Both games will feature color-based promotions with the women's game featuring the annual “Pink Zone” event. The WBCA “Pink Zone” initiative is a global, unified effort for coaches and players to assist in raising cancer awareness on the court, across campuses and in the community. The Red Wolves will be playing in pink jerseys with cancer survivors' names replacing their own.

For the men's game, all Red Wolves fans are urged to wear black as a part of the “Cram The Convo Black Out” Event. A limited number of event t-shirts are being donated by Elite Graphics, Liberty Bank and Alexander's Machine Shop and will be passed out to students while supplies last. The shirts will also feature a pink ribbon in support of the ASU women's team “hoops for hope” breast cancer awareness day.

Tipoff for the games are set for 3:05 p.m. for the women's game and 7:05 p.m. for the men's contest.
