JONESBORO, Ark. (6/30/2011) — The Arkansas State Department of
Athletics has announced that KNWA, the NBC affiliate in Fayetteville, Ark. will
air the broadcast of the Red Wolves' home football game against the University
of Central Arkansas scheduled for Sept. 24.
KNWA becomes the second announced affiliate for the broadcast of
the game, joining KAIT, the ABC affiliate in Jonesboro. The game will be sponsored by Centennial Bank
and will originate from KATV, the ABC affiliate in Little Rock. The telecast of the game as been tabbed as
the “Centennial Shootout” and will include a pregame show prior to the 7:00
p.m. kickoff.
“We are delighted that KNWA has picked up this game and will provide
this opportunity to expose Red Wolves Football to our fans and supporters in
Northwest Arkansas,” said ASU Director of Athletics Dr. Dean Lee. “We anticipate a tremendous crowd and know
the environment at ASU Stadium will be outstanding.”

The Red Wolves set a school record with 10 televised games during
the 2010 season, and already have four contests set for broadcast during the
2011 campaign. The Sept. 3 season-opener
at Illinois will be broadcast by the Big 10 Network, the Sept. 17 contest at
Virginia Tech will air on Fox Sports, and the Oct. 18 game against Florida
International will be broadcast nationally from ASU Stadium on ESPN2.
