DES MOINES, Iowa (6/7/12) - Arkansas State
sophomore Sharika Nelvis completed her outstanding outdoor season by finishing
16th in the semifinals of the 100m hurdles Thursday at the NCAA
Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Drake Stadium.
Nelvis ran a time of 13.23 in the event
finishing sixth in the third heat. Her finish lands her a second
All-American Second Team honor.
During outdoor competition, Nelvis broke
Arkansas State records in the 100m, 100m hurdles and 200m runs while also being
named most outstanding track performer at the Sun Belt Conference Championships
while winning four events as the top female point scorer.
