FRESHMAN SEASON (2013): Appeared in 18 games as a relief pitcher and had a 2.70 ERA ... had a 2-0 record ... recorded 32 strikeouts and two saves ... recorded his first save on February 19 at Memphis ... also played in 24 games in the field and made 14 starts ... enjoyed a rare feat on April 16 against Southeast Missouri when he hit a home run to lead off the game and then earned the win on the mound in extra innings.
