Justin Morrison

Biography

Justin Morrison joined the Arkansas State athletics staff as the Development Coordinator for the Red Wolves Foundation in August of 2012.

Morrison has taken on a number of responsibilities including being the account manager for 500 donor accounts, overseeing donor football and basketball parking and ticket assignments, managing the day-to-day operations of the Wheel Club, paying all the Red Wolves Foundation invoices, assist with securing auction items and planning of the annual A-State Golf Classic, developing collateral to use for new north end zone facility capital campaign project, and handling all questions from visitors to the Red Wolves Foundation office.

Prior to coming to Arkansas State, Morrison was a development assistant at the University of Tennessee’s Tennessee Fund from January 2010 to July 2012.  In addition to helping raise over $167,000 in new money through annual and capital gifts, his day-to-day duties at the Tennessee Fund included handling donor inquiries over the phone and face-to-face, organizing football and men’s basketball handicap parking requests, performing facility tours, and accompanying directors on donor meetings.  He was also involved in soliciting and fundraising for a $24 million baseball facility campaign, planning the annual Tennessee Fund Donor Appreciation Day, and helping to develop the Tennessee Fund Volunteer Representative program.

Before becoming the development assistant at the Tennessee Fund, Morrison was a graduate student assistant and undergraduate student assistant at the Tennessee Fund.  He was a graduate student assistant from August 2008 to December 2009 and an undergraduate student assistant from August 2005 to July 2008.  During this time he assisted in coordinating game day activities, sold football and basketball season tickets over the phone, and worked various donor recognition events.

Prior to his time as a student at Tennessee, Morrison was a volunteer for the Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl where he helped coordinate event management activities for the 2002-2005 Music City Bowls.   Before volunteering with the Music City Bowl, he was the youngest intern to work for the Nashville Sports Council at the time.  During his internship he performed various marketing and event management activities and assisted with the set-up and organization of various coaching luncheons.

Morrison earned his Bachelor of Science in sports management and minor in business administration from the University of Tennessee in 2008 and graduated with his Master of Science in sports studies with a concentration in sport management from the University of Tennessee in 2009.
