Trevor White came to Arkansas State’s division of Academic Affairs and Research in August of 2009 and serves as the institution’s designated certification officer for athletics eligibility. White also coordinates Arkansas State’s compliance with the NCAA’s Academic Performance Program (i.e. APR and GSR).
Before coming to Jonesboro, White worked in the athletics compliance office at Canisius College in Buffalo, New York. There, he completed a Master of Science degree in Sport Administration. Prior to that, White enjoyed a short stint as the head men’s and women’s cross country coach at Niagara University in Niagara Falls, New York.
Before joining the collegiate ranks, White was a high school cross country and track and field coach for the Clarence Central School District in Clarence, New York. During that time, he served as the sport chairperson for Section VI of the New York State Public High School Athletic Association and as a member of the State Track & Field Committee.
Throughout his time in western New York, White also worked as a supervisor for the town of Clarence’s summer recreation program. Additionally, he spent two years as a mathematics teacher at Clarence High School. White also is a certified track and field official with much experience in cross country and track and field meet management.White earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from the State University of New York at Geneseo, where he also competed in cross country, indoor track and field, and outdoor track and field. He obtained his New York State Teaching Certification through the University at Buffalo.
