LAFAYETTE, La. (5/23/13) – Lightning suspended play in the 2013 Sun Belt Conference Championship Thursday evening, altering the schedule for the remaining games on Thursday and the Friday schedule for the tournament.

Arkansas State defeated Western Kentucky 10-4 earlier in the day and was scheduled to take on the loser of the No. 1 Troy Trojans and No. 4 Florida Atlantic Owls at 3 p.m. on Friday. However, a lightning delayed suspended the Trojans' and Owls' in the ninth inning with score tied at 1-1. That game will be resumed on Friday at 11 a.m. and will be followed by Louisiana-Lafayette and South Alabama at 12:30 p.m.

The Red Wolves' game is now set to begin at 4 p.m. and the loser of the Cajuns and Jaguars matchup will play Florida International Friday night at 7:30.
