SOPHOMORE SEASON (2016): Battled through an injury to play in 55 games and make 52 starts with 25 starts at shortstop, 18 at DH, and nine at second base ... hit .294 with eight doubles, three triples, and one home run ... scored 29 runs and drove in 30 and had the second highest on-base percentage on the team at .417 ... walked 25 times and was hit by a pitch 13 times, which was second most on the squad ... had five sacrifice bunts and was 1-of-1 stealing bases ... had career-high four hits against Little Rock May 20 ... had 12 multi-hit games ... registered season-high three RBI in three different games ... named to the SBC Commissioner's List.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2015): Played in 56 games with 55 starts, all at shortstop ... batted .208 with 32 runs scored, 10 doubles, and two home runs ... knocked in 31 runs, walked 23 times, was hit by a pitch 11 times, and had a .329 on-base percentage ... had seven sacrifice bunts and two stolen bases ... first career hit was a grand slam against Illinois State on Feb. 14 in second game of a doubleheader, which also set his season high for RBIs with four ... had career-high three hits against Houston Baptist Feb. 28 in first game of a doubleheader ... scored three runs in two different games.
HIGH SCHOOL: Was a three-time all-conference, two-time all-district and two-time all-metro selection … helped Festus R-6 High School to a state championship in 2011 and had a .310 batting average that season … saw his average rise to .390 in 2012 finished with a .402 average as a junior in 2013 … as a junior he had a .537 on-base percentage and drove in 27 runs … drove in 23 runs and had a .404 on-base percentage while playing for the Festus Post 253 American Legion baseball team in 2013.
