Dr. Karen McDaniel was announced as the Red Wolves’ Faculty Athletics Representative (FAR) on May 14, 2015.
McDaniel, an Associate Professor of Management at Arkansas State University, serves as a liaison between Arkansas State University and its athletics department, while also acting as a representative of the university in conference and NCAA affairs.
McDaniel is in her second stint at Arkansas State and is currently an Associate Professor of Management. She took over that position in 2012 after working one year as the Director of Online MBA in the College of Business. She originally came to A-State in 2005, serving one year as an Instructor of Organizational Behavior.
A Union University alumna who holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management from the University of Memphis, McDaniel’s professional career has also included stops at Radford (Va.) University as an assistant professor; University of Tennessee at Martin as an assistant professor; University of Memphis as a graduate assistant and research-team member; and Lexington (Tenn.) High School as a mathematics teacher.
McDaniel has co-authored nine scholarly publications, participated in 15 conferences as a presenting speaker, and conducted numerous faculty and teacher development activities. She is also a member of multiple university, community, regional and state committees.
