Adam Marso recently completed his first season as the Director of Operations for the Arkansas State women's basketball team.
In his first season the Red Wolves made a run the Sun Belt Conference Tournament quarterfinals that included a victory over Geogia Southern in the opening round. The team also finished as the league's top 3-point shooting team with a .339 percentage and also held the the league's third best 3-point field goal percentage defense number at .301.
His primary responsibility at A-State is to serve as the team's travel coordinator. In addition, he will handle all facility scheduling and arrange community service and promotion engagements for the staff and team, assists in the team's social media efforts and coordinates the team's meals when on the road.
Marso spent two seasons at Minnesota where he served in the role of assistant to head coach Marlene Stollings. In his two seasons with the Golden Gophers the team amassed 43 victories and received berths to both the WNIT and NCAA Tournaments.
While at Minnesota, Marso's responsibilities include managing coach Stollings' calendar and scheduling travel for the staff. He also assisted with recruiting correspondence, managed the team office and was one of the team's liaisons with donors and alumni.
Prior to joining the women's basketball staff, Marso gained experience as a student intern for Gopher Sports Marketing, and spent a football season with Gopher Sports Properties assisting with sponsorship execution. He has also worked for the Iowa Cubs and served as a youth camp director.
In 2014 Marso earned his Bachelor of Science degree in sport management from the University of Minnesota, with a minor in management from the Carlson School of Management.
