JONESBORO, Ark. (3/11/17) – The Arkansas State baseball team’s series finale with No. 24 Louisiana Tech, which was pushed back to Sunday earlier today, has now been cancelled due to the amount of snow in the Jonesboro area Saturday evening.

The Red Wolves and Bulldogs were originally scheduled to play today at 6 p.m., but ended up moving the game to Sunday at 1 p.m. due to the rain that had already passed through and the threat for more inclement weather this evening. However, with the amount of snow that has already accumulated this evening school officials decided to cancel tomorrow’s game. The game will not be made up.

The Bulldogs and Red Wolves split yesterday’s doubleheader with Louisiana Tech winning game one 19-3 and A-State bouncing back for a 6-5 victory in game two. The victory for Arkansas State was its first over a ranked opponent since last season’s 8-6 victory over No. 6 Ole Miss on May 17.
