HOUSTON, Texas (2/18/18) – The third-ranked Red Wolves bowling team finished 9-4, taking home a third-place finish to conclude the Stormin’ Ladyjack Classic in Houston, Texas at Copperfield Bowl.

Arkansas State (64-27) went 2-1 during Sunday’s championship bracket of Baker matches, as they faced No. 7 SFA twice, while securing a victory against No. 4 Vanderbilt in between. During the first round, SFA came out on top as they took four of the five games (147-204, 203-166, 172-180, 168-193, 176-185) to win 4-1.

In the second round, A-State's impressive 277 performance stole the show against Vandy, beating the Commodores 4-1, as they took the last four games (197-198, 191-160, 277-159, 235-182, 199-187).

The Red Wolves went on to get their rematch against Stephen F. Austin in the third round as they came out victorious, winning four of the six games (234-222, 154-216, 206-217, 190-185,189-185, 258-223), to take home third place in the competition.

A-State returns to action March 1-3 at the Big Red Invite in Lincoln, Neb.
