JONESBORO, Ark. (3/27/18) – Tuesday’s midweek baseball game featuring Arkansas State and Southern Illinois has been cancelled due to inclement weather in the Carbondale, Ill., area.
The Red Wolves and Salukis were scheduled to play at 5 p.m. today inside Itchy Jones Stadium in Carbondale, Ill., but heavy rainfall is expected throughout the day and caused the cancellation of the contest. Possible makeup dates are being discussed, but at this time no makeup game is scheduled.
Arkansas State will continue Sun Belt Conference play March 29-31 against the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. First pitch on Thursday and Friday against the Ragin’ Cajuns is 6:30 p.m., while the series finale on Saturday will be at 1 p.m. The three games are set to be broadcast on ESPN3 barring any changes to the schedule due to weather.
