JONESBORO, Ark. (7/2/09) ? Arkansas State head football coach Steve Roberts announced Thursday that Jason Gregory has been named Director of Operations for ASU Red Wolves Football.
Gregory returns to ASU after serving as Director of Football Operations at Northern Arizona University during the 2008 season. Prior to that, he was a graduate assistant on the ASU football staff during the 2007 season.
“We are extremely excited about the hiring of Jason as our Director of Football Operations,” said Roberts. “Jason brings experience at all levels of football and is very familiar with our program here at Arkansas State. He will be a tremendous asset to ASU football as we continue to strive for a Sun Belt Conference championship.”
Gregory began his coaching career as an assistant at Barton High School under Frank McClellan, the winningest coach in Arkansas high school history. After one season at Barton, he returned to his hometown of Newport, where he served as offensive and defensive line coach for two seasons.
Gregory played high school football at Newport under head coach Bill Keedy before earning his degree in Health Sciences with Emphasis in Exercise Science at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He is the son of Loretta and the late Robert Gregory.
