JONESBORO, Ark. (6/18/12) — Arkansas State head women’s basketball coach Brian Boyer gave an enthusiastic greeting to the over 200 new students in attendance for Monday’s session of Arkansas State University New Student Orientation.

The greeting was the fourth New Student Orientation session for Boyer this summer, and was held in the Carl R. Reng Student Union.

Boyer spoke to the new students about athletics at ASU and several other facets of student life on campus, encouraging all to become involved with the many opportunities that will be available on campus when they arrive in the fall.

New Student Orientation is most students’ first experience at ASU after enrolling at the university.  The sessions will continue throughout the summer, leading up to the fall semester.
