JONESBORO, Ark.
(8/4/12) – The Arkansas State football team will host its annual Fan
Appreciation Day event Saturday, Aug. 11 at ASU Stadium.
A-State, which reported for fall
camp Aug. 1, will hold a scrimmage as part of its Fan Appreciation Day as the
Red Wolves continue preparations for the 2012 season. Admission to the
scrimmage is free and gates will open at 5 p.m. Practice will begin at 6 p.m.
with the scrimmage set to begin at 6:30 p.m. Food vendors from Wings To Go,
Lewis BBQ, B A Burrito and ASU Concessions will be selling food on the
concourse and fans will have an opportunity to win prizes throughout the night.
Fans will able to pick up posters
and participate in various activities at the stadium. The ASU Bookstore will be
present to sell Red Wolves merchandise.
“Excitement is high for this
football season and Fan Appreciation Day kicks off the 2012 season,“ ASU
Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Promotions Gleen Hart said. “We
want to thank our fans for all the support they give us, and we encourage
everyone to come out and see the 2012 Red Wolves football team as they
participate in a live scrimmage under new head coach Gus Malzahn.”
