JONESBORO, Ark. (1/10/13) – The seventh-ranked Arkansas State women’s bowling team will host its annual Mid-Winter Invitational Jan. 11-13 at the Jonesboro Bowling Center.

The field will consist of 16 teams, including five of the nation’s top nine teams.  Joining the No. 7 Red Wolves will be No. 1 Central Missouri, No. 3 Vanderbilt, No. 4 Sam Houston State, No. 6 Nebraska, and No. 9 Wisconsin-Whitewater.

The Red Wolves enter the Mid-Winter Invitational with a 24-13 record and two runner-up finishes to go along with one fourth-place finish this year.  A-State came away with second place in the Tulane Collegiate Invitational and Valparaiso Crusader Classic earlier this season.  The last time out the Red Wolves finished fourth in the Kat Klash Invitational hosted by Sam Houston State.

The Mid-Winter Invitational gets underway at noon on Friday.  Saturday’s play will begin at 9 a.m., while the final day of competition will start at 8 a.m. on Sunday.
