JONESBORO, Ark. (1/10/13) – The
seventh-ranked Arkansas State women’s bowling team will host its annual
Mid-Winter Invitational Jan. 11-13 at the Jonesboro Bowling Center.
The field will consist of 16
teams, including five of the nation’s top nine teams. Joining the No. 7 Red Wolves will be No. 1
Central Missouri, No. 3 Vanderbilt, No. 4 Sam Houston State, No. 6 Nebraska,
and No. 9 Wisconsin-Whitewater.
The Red Wolves enter the
Mid-Winter Invitational with a 24-13 record and two runner-up finishes to go
along with one fourth-place finish this year.
A-State came away with second place in the Tulane Collegiate
Invitational and Valparaiso Crusader Classic earlier this season. The last time out the Red Wolves finished
fourth in the Kat Klash Invitational hosted by Sam Houston State.
The Mid-Winter Invitational gets underway at noon on Friday. Saturday’s play will begin at 9 a.m., while
the final day of competition will start at 8 a.m. on Sunday.
