Kelsey Reis
Player Profile:

Kelsey Reis was named a student assistant coach for Arkansas State on Aug. 16, 2017

Reis, a native of Smithton, Ill., played for the Red Wolves from 2013-16 along with Schaedig. She will handle a good portion of the day-to-day operations of the program along with some coaching responsibilities. The former middle blocker was a two-time First-Team All-Sun Belt Conference selection in 2015 and 2016.

Reis finished her collegiate career at A-State with a .302 hitting percentage, good enough to rank as the seventh best in school history. Additionally, she registered 399 blocks during her career, which is the eighth most in program history. She led the squad in blocks in three of her four campaigns.

SENIOR SEASON (2016): Appeared in 31 matches with 28 starts as a senior ... named First-Team All-Conference for second straight season ... totaled the third most kills on the team with 216 (2.20 per set) on a .346 hitting percentage, which ranked as fourth best in the league ... led the team with 81 total blocks, including a team-high 23 block solos ... also contributed 42 digs and 14 service aces ... tallied season-high 14 kills on three different occasions (vs. Cal Poly Sept. 3, at UTA Oct. 8, and at Little Rock Nov. 11) ... had an .800 hitting percentage at Georgia State Oct. 29 ... recorded season-high seven blocks against NC State Aug. 27 ... ended career with eighth most blocks in school history with 399 ... concluded career with .302 hitting percentage, which is seventh best in A-State history ... named to the SBC Commissioner's List.

JUNIOR SEASON (2015): Played in all 106 sets with starts in all 30 matches ... led the team and conference with 123 blocks for a 1.16 per set average including 35 block solos with the blocks per set mark ranking 83rd in the nation ... registered the fourth most kills on the team with 187 (1.76 per set) on a .285 hitting percentage ... tied for third on the team with 17 service aces and also had 36 digs and four assists ... earned First-Team All-Sun Belt Conference honors ... had season-high 14 kills against UT Arlington Sept. 25 ... registered season-high nine blocks twice (at Troy Sept. 19 and versus Texas State Oct. 17) ... named to the SBC Commissioner's List.

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2014): Played in all 31 matches and 112 sets as a sophomore ... led the team with 98 blocks on the year, including 27 block solos ... second on the squad in service aces with 26, including a career-high four against Troy Sept. 26 ... third on the squad in kills (227) and hitting percentage (.280) ... registered a season high with a .600 hitting percentage at ULM on Nov. 14 ... recorded a career-high 17 kills at UT Arlington Oct. 17 ... had a career-high 10 blocks against Georgia Southern Nov. 16, including four block solos ... also had 70 digs and four assists.

FRESHMAN SEASON (2013): Played in all 35 matches, earning 34 starts ... set season high in kills with 13 on three different occasions and had a season high in attacking percentage twice at .667 ... led team on the season with a .301 hitting percentage ... fourth on team in kills with 216 ... second on team in total blocks with 97 and led the team with 15 block solos ... finished the season with 38 digs and 17 service aces.

HIGH SCHOOL: Named top-30 player in the state of Illinois during her senior season ... led Freeburg High School to a third-place conference finish during senior season ... Led the team in kills (292) and blocks (87) as a senior ...
