Julie Ellena is in her third year at Arkansas State where she is responsible for providing training service for the women's basketball, women's tennis and women's bowling teams.
Prior to her post at A-State she spent four years at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi where she was responsible for providing athletic training services for men's and women's cross country and track and field.
Prior to her time at the Island University, Ellena was a graduate assistant athletic trainer at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs where she worked with women's basketball and men's and women's track and field. She also worked for NBC Camps, LLC. for several summers where she provided athletic training services for basketball and volleyball camps.
She received her Bachelor's of Science in Athletic Training from Oklahoma State University in 2006. She graduated in 2008 from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs with her Masters of Science in Sports Medicine.
She is a native of Lawrence, Kansas.
