JONESBORO, Ark. (5/14/14) - The Arkansas State football program has announced it will host a Future Red Wolves Camp June 6-7 at Centennial Bank Stadium for kids in grades 2-8.
The two-day camp will begin Friday, June 6, with check-in occurring 5-6 p.m. at the A-State Football Facility, located at 2800 Alumni Boulevard. The actual camp will run 6:30-8:30 p.m. that evening and continue Saturday, June 7, from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Campers will be broken down into groups by grade and position to receive as much individual instruction as possible while learning football fundamentals from the A-State coaching staff. The practices will be held on both the Centennial Bank Stadium field and A-State practice fields adjacent to the stadium.
“Our staff is excited about this camp and the opportunity to work with these young people,” said A-State head football coach Blake Anderson. “We’re going to do a lot of teaching, but also have a lot of fun. We have a great experience planned, and the goal is for our campers to walk away from the camp with a better football knowledge and some great memories.”
Options available include day and overnight-camp packages priced at $100 and $150, respectively, for campers registering in advance. Those who register on June 6 at the stadium will have both options still available at $110 for day campers and $160 for overnight campers.
Day campers will need to bring tennis shoes, cleats, shorts and a t-shirt, while overnight campers will need the same along with a second t-shirt, overnight clothes, a sleeping bag and pillow.
