Jessica Greer

Jessica Greer enters her first season as an assistant coach in the Arkansas State women's soccer staff.

Greer is the first coach hired by Dooley since he was named A-State’s new head soccer coach in early January. Greer spent the previous two seasons as the director of soccer operations at the University of Arkansas, where she assisted in the day-to-day operations of the club, was part of 24 wins and helped the program advance to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history.

Jess brings incredible experience as a player competing at the highest level,” Dooley said. “She's been to the NCAA College Cup multiple times.  As a member of the Arkansas staff, she helped the team reach the second round and the Sweet 16 in consecutive seasons.  She believes in positive coaching and will help the team perform at their optimum level.”

The 2013 Arkansas squad reached the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history. The team posted a program-best 15-8-1 overall record and a record-setting 8-3 record at home. Not only did Greer help guide the team to its first NCAA Tournament appearance in 28 years, she assisted with the program when it attained its first top-25 ranking and captured the most victories in school history with 15.

Greer also assisted in overseeing team academics, and the 2013 Razorbacks received the National Soccer Coaches Association (NSCAA) Team Academic Award with a 3.36 team grade point average.

A native of Sedalia, Mo., Greer was a three-year starter and team captain as a senior for the University of Missouri. She helped the Tigers advance to the NCAA Tournament as a senior and ranks sixth in Tiger history for games played at 84. Greer concluded her Missouri career with 52 starts, seven goals, one assist and three game-winning strikes that included two as a senior.

Academically, Greer was a three-time member of the All-Big 12 Academic Honor Roll and placed on the SEC Academic Honor Roll as a senior.

Greer earned her degree in health sciences from the University of Missouri in 2013.
