JONESBORO, Ark. (5/24/16) – The 17th annual Arkansas State University Sports Medicine Golf Scramble will be held Monday, June 20 at the Jonesboro Country Club and registration is now open for the event.
The scramble benefits athletic training, A-State student-athletes, and A-State sports medicine students. Proceeds generated from the scramble will go toward providing therapeutic and rehabilitation equipment necessary in the caring for injured Red Wolves’ student-athletes along with providing quality clinical experience for sports medicine students.
“Your participation and support of this event ensures Arkansas State University Sports Medicine and Athletic Training provides the highest quality and most current therapeutic and rehabilitation equipment necessary in caring for injured A-State student-athletes,” said A-State head certified athletic trainer Ron Carroll. “The funds generated from past A-State Sports Medicine Golf Scrambles have gone towards the purchase of equipment items such as AutoSound Hands-free Ultrasound, Interx Neuromuscular Stimulation, BCI Portable Cooling System, LaserPrism Therapuetic Laser, Normatec Recovery System, Kneebourne Therapeutic Elite Seat, Ice-O-Matic Ice Machine, and Computer Balance System.”
The cost for this year’s event is $85 per individual and features a four-person scramble format, which includes golf, golf cart, and lunch. The four-team entry charge is $340 for entries received on or before Monday, June 13. Those planning to register after the June 13 date should call 870-972-3342.
Sponsorship packages for the scramble are Major Sponsor ($1,000) – Entry fee for four players, prominent signage on both a tee and green, and your banner placed in the clubhouse; Corporate Sponsor ($500) – Entry fee for four players and two signs on a tee and/or a green; and a Tee/Green Sponsor ($100) – Prominent signage at a tee or green. All donations to the Red Wolves Foundation/Athletic Training fund are tax deductible and greatly appreciated.

An awards presentation will be held immediately following the conclusion of the scramble with prizes to be awarded for those teams finishing in first, second, and third place. Several specialty prizes will also be awarded for specific holes.
