DALLAS (3/14/17) – The Arkansas State men’s golf team was tied for third place among 24 teams when first-round play at the Bob Sitton Invitational was suspended Tuesday due to darkness.

The Red Wolves shot a 288 and currently trail first-place Long Beach State by four strokes.  All but three teams, including Texas State, Central Arkansas and Green Bay, were able to complete the first round.

A-State was led by Tanner Napier with a 68, and he was followed closely by Zan Luka Stirn with a 70.  Also competing for the Red Wolves, Joel Wendin posted a 75, Andrew Huseman a 76 and Trent Jones a 78.

The 54-hole tournament is scheduled to continue Wednesday and Thursday at the TPC Four Seasons.
