JONESBORO, Ark. (4/18/17) – The Arkansas State women’s tennis team has earned the No. 11 seed in the Sun Belt Conference Tennis Championship tournament, set to take place April 20-23 in New Orleans, La., at the City Park Tennis Center.

A-State opens play Thursday, April 20 at 11:30 a.m. against the No. 6 seed UT Arlington with the winner moving on to play No. 3 Georgia State Friday morning at 11:30 a.m. The two squads met earlier this season with UTA earning a 4-0 victory in Jonesboro.

Julie Gauguery led the Red Wolves with 11 victories throughout the spring campaign, and has a five-match win streak entering the tournament. Sabina Jeresic and Allison Quammen have each posted two victories on the year, while Victoria Pisani and Tori Roberts have won twice.
