EUGENE, Ore. (6/10/17) – Arkansas State senior triple jumper Viktoriia Sadokhina and junior discus thrower Calea Carr concluded their seasons at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships with top-20 performances Saturday.   

Sadokhina concluded her season with an 18th place finish in the triple jump. She fouled on her first attempt, but registered a mark of 12.97m (42-06.75) on her second attempt that held up as her best of three attempts. Her third and final attempt measured at 12.80m (42-00.00)

Carr registered a mark of 49.86m (163-7) on her first attempt and that stood as her best throw of the event. She was unable to register a measurement on her final two attempts and finished 19th overall as the first female to represent A-State in the discus throw at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.

A-State wraps up the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships with four individuals earning All-America distinction. Jaylen Bacon (100m/200m), Cristian Ravar Ladislau (hammer throw), Tiaan Steenkamp (high jump) and Erin Farmer (shot put) each gained All-America status by way of their performances over the last four days. The Red Wolves sent a school record six individuals to the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships this year.
