JONESBORO, Ark. (8/2/17) – The Arkansas State women's soccer team began preparations for the 2017 season on Wednesday with the first practice of preseason camp.

The Red Wolves welcomed 24 players to camp, including 11 newcomers, 10 of which are freshman.

Head coach Brian Dooley, who is in his third season at the helm, led A-State to a berth in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament in 2016 after missing out on postseason play in each of the previous two seasons.

Arkansas State begins play with an exhibition game against Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Aug. 11, followed by another preseason contest against Jackson State Aug. 13. The Red Wolves open the regular season Aug. 18 at Missouri State, while the home opener is set for Aug. 27 against Saint Louis.
