JONESBORO, Ark. (12/6/17) – Arkansas State senior Jordan Richard has been named the Southland Bowling League Bowler of the Month for November in an announcement by the league Wednesday afternoon.
Richard led the Red Wolves to a third-place finish at the Track Kat Klash Nov. 3-5 before helping the team to its first tournament title of the season at the Warhawk Classic Nov. 10-12. She earned all-tournament accolades at both events to give her 15 all-tournament nods in her career, one shy of tying the school record.
A native of Tecumseh, Mich., Richard averaged 216.60 per game at the Kat Klash for a total pinfall of 1,083 to place third in the individual standings. She followed with a 228.80 average and total pinfall of 1,144 at the Warhawk Classic to register another third-place finish individually. She led the SBL in average per frame at 22.26 over the nomination period along with the top spot in the league in fill percentage (90.1) and striking percentage (60.8).
This SBL Bowler of the Month award for Richard is the third of her career after she won the award last season in the months of October and January.
A-State returns to action in 2018 as the squad opens the spring portion of its schedule Jan. 12-14 in its home tournament, the Mid-Winter Invitational. The event will be held at Hijinx Family Entertainment Center in Jonesboro.
