JONESBORO, Ark. (12/8/17) – The Arkansas State baseball team will host 28 games at Tomlinson Stadium/Kell Field, including the first nine contests of the season, as the 2018 schedule for the Red Wolves was released Friday afternoon.
Season tickets are on sale now with general admission tickets available for $65. The rate for reserved seats is $75, while field level seats are available for a cost of $125. A-State will open the season Feb. 16-18 against Illinois State before regional rival Southeast Missouri makes the trek to Jonesboro Feb. 20. The team then welcomes UAB to Tomlinson Stadium Feb. 23-25 before a two-game series with Mississippi Valley State Feb. 27-28 closes the month of February and the nine-game home stand to begin the campaign.
The Red Wolves make their first road trip of the season to face former Sun Belt Conference foe New Orleans March 2-4 and continue the road swing March 9-11 with a trip to 2017 NCAA Super Regional participant Missouri State. The team plays a home midweek contest against Southern Illinois (March 13) before opening SBC play against Coastal Carolina at Tomlinson Stadium March 16-18.
The month of March continues with a six-game road trip, starting with a two-game midweek series at SEC opponent Missouri (March 20-21). The Scarlet and Black steps back into league play at ULM March 23-25 before returning a midweek trip to SIU March 27. The squad closes the month of March at home against Louisiana March 29-31.
April begins with five straight road matchups with a midweek game at SEMO (April 3) before a SBC series at Georgia State April 6-8. A-State will play rival Memphis on back-to-back days April 10 and April 11 with the trip to Memphis first before the Tigers come to Jonesboro the following day. The Red Wolves travel to UT Arlington April 13-15 and make the trip to Oxford, Miss., to face Ole Miss April 18.
Arkansas State hosts Troy (April 20-22) and in-state foe Central Arkansas (April 24) before heading to South Alabama (April 27-29) to close out the month of April. The Red Wolves host Texas State (May 4-6) and Georgia Southern (May 11-13) sandwiched around a trip to Conway, Ark., to face UCA May 8. The team hosts Ole Miss May 15 before closing the regular season May 17-19 at Little Rock.
The 2018 Sun Belt Conference Tournament is set for May 22-27 in Lafayette, La.
