• The Red Wolves play their final road game of February with a Saturday afternoon contest at South Alabama. Game time is set for 3:05 p.m. at the Mitchell Center. Matt Stolz will bring the play-by-play action on the EAB Red Wolves Sports Network and flagship station 107.9 KFIN. 
• The Red Wolves have had a player score 20 or more points in 17 of 25 games this year.
Ty Cockfield had 31 points at Troy, most for an A-State player in a Sun Belt Conference game since Devin Carter had 33 versus South Alabama on Feb. 4, 2016.  
Deven Simms had 16 points and 11 rebounds at Troy for his fourth double-double this season and fifth of his career.
• A-State has scored 90 or more points in five games this season, most since the 2001-02 club had seven such outings.
• The Red Wolves have two 90-plus point efforts in league play, most since the 1999-2000 season in which A-State also had two such games.  
• A-State is 6-2 when leading at halftime, but 3-14 when tied (1-2) or trailing (2-12) at the break.   
• The Red Wolves committed 10 or more turnovers in 19 of the first 21 games. A-State has 10 or fewer turnovers in each of the last four games.
Tamas Bruce shot 37.7 percent (29-77) at the charity stripe last season. So far this season, Bruce is hitting 67.1 percent (47-70).
• The Red Wolves play five home games in February for the second-straight season and eighth time in 31 seasons at First National Bank Arena.
• A-State has played just three of the 18 Division I basketball programs in the state of North Carolina (Appalachian State, East Carolina and North Carolina A&T).
