JONESBORO, Ark. (2/23/18) – The Arkansas State baseball series with UAB, scheduled for Feb. 24-25, has been cancelled due to the amount of rainfall the Jonesboro area has received and the threat for more inclement weather throughout the weekend.
The Red Wolves and Blazers were originally scheduled for Feb. 23-25, but the decision was made to schedule a doubleheader Saturday, Feb. 24 and keep the series finale on Sunday, Feb. 25 due to poor field conditions. However, there has been too much rainfall and the forecast calls for more rain throughout today and tomorrow to prompt the decision to cancel the series.
The cancellation of the series with UAB now means A-State’s next game is set for Tuesday, Feb. 27 against Mississippi Valley State at Tomlinson Stadium at 6 p.m. The Red Wolves and Delta Devils are also scheduled to play Wednesday at 4 p.m.
