JONESBORO, Ark. (3/2/18) – The Arkansas State baseball team has added a home contest against UT Martin next Tuesday, March 6, with first pitch from Tomlinson Stadium scheduled for 6 p.m.

The Red Wolves welcome the Skyhawks to town next week in an effort to make up for losing four home games already this season due to inclement weather. A-State has already been forced to cancel a whole weekend series with UAB (Feb. 23-25) along with a midweek contest versus Mississippi Valley State that was scheduled to conclude a two-game series Feb. 28.

UT Martin has also seen issues with the weather as the team picked up a series with Southern Miss after the cancellation of a series with Arkansas-Pine Bluff last weekend and was also forced to cancel a midweek contest with Lipscomb this week. Additionally, the Skyhawks were set to host Cincinnati this weekend, but have moved the series to the Bearcats’ home park.

Next Tuesday’s meeting will mark the first time since March 5, 2013 that UTM and A-State have played each other on the diamond. A-State won that contest 9-0 and currently sports a three-game win streak against the Skyhawks.

Arkansas State begins a three-game set with the University of New Orleans Friday night at Maestri Field. First pitch for the Red Wolves’ first road game of the season is set for 6:30 p.m.
