COLLEGE STATION, Texas (3/8/18) – Senior thrower Itamar Levi and senior sprinter Jaylen Bacon will represent Arkansas State track and field at the 2018 NCAA Indoor Championships hosted by Texas A&M this weekend.

Levi enters the championships ranked 14th in the shot put. He is scheduled to throw ninth among the 16 entries with the competition beginning at 7:20 p.m. Friday. Levi placed second at the Sun Belt Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships on February 20 with a mark of 18.94m (62-01.75). He had a season-best mark of 19.36m (63-06.25) set at the A-State Invitational back in January.

Bacon arrives in College Station ranked sixth in the 60-meter dash. He will sprint out of lane five in heat two Friday at 6:05 p.m. Should he advance to the final, Bacon would run at 4:30 p.m. Saturday in the 60-meter final. Bacon ran his best time of the season at the Sun Belt Conference Indoor Championships with a time of 6.60 seconds in the preliminaries. He took first place in the 60m final with a time of 6.62 seconds. His season best time of 6.60 seconds equals his best from a year ago entering the NCAA Indoor Championships in which he placed third.
