ARLINGTON, Texas (4/13/18) – The Arkansas State baseball series opener at UT Arlington Friday night has been postponed due to multiple lightning strikes in the surrounding area and the Red Wolves and Mavericks are set to play two games tomorrow beginning at 2 p.m.
There wasn’t much precipitation that fell at Clay Gould Ballpark, but strong storms with lightning around the area kept pushing the start time further and further back before officials made the decision to play two games tomorrow. The series opener will now be played at 2 p.m. Saturday, which was the original game time for game two, while game two will start approximately 40 minutes after the conclusion of game one.
Sunday’s series finale is still set for a first pitch of 1 p.m.
