JONESBORO, Ark. (4/17/18) – The Arkansas State women’s tennis team has earned the No. 11 seed in the Sun Belt Conference Tennis Championship tournament, set to take place April 19-22 in Peachtree City, Ga., at the Peachtree City Tennis Center.

A-State opens play Thursday, April 29 at 11:30 a.m. against the No. 6 seed Louisiana-Monroe with the winner moving on to play No. 3 Coastal Carolina Friday morning at 11:30 a.m. The two squads met earlier this season with ULM earning a 4-0 victory in San Marcos, Texas.

Sabina Jeresic led the Red Wolves with eight victories throughout the spring campaign and recently had a five match win streak snapped in the final regular season matchup of the season. Shannon O’Brien turned a singles’ record of 6-7 on the season, while Shelby King, Berta Masdevall Masip and Kirsty Venter each finished with five victories. King and O’Brien also teamed up to go 10-7 in doubles’ competition.
