JONESBORO, Ark. (4/26/18) – Senior thrower Cristian Ravar Ladislau was named Sun Belt Conference Men’s Field Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Thursday.

Ravar Ladislau broke his own school record in the hammer throw with a launch of 68.73m (225-6) to win in the Red Wolves Open. The record throw moves him up to third in the NCAA West Region and 15th overall nationally while he continues to lead the Sun Belt Conference. He also competed in the shot put, finishing third at 16.23m (53-3), and discus throw finishing seventh at 40.16m (131-9).

The final tune-up ahead of the Sun Belt Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships is this weekend for the Red Wolves. A-State will compete in the Memphis Invitational beginning tomorrow at the University of Memphis.
