JONESBORO, Ark. (5/8/18) – The Arkansas State women’s soccer team has announced its schedule for the 2018 with the Red Wolves set to play nine matches at the A-State Soccer Complex.

The Red Wolves open the regular season at home with a home match on opening weekend. The action kicks off Friday, Aug. 17 against UT Martin, whom A-State defeated 2-0 in 2017 behind a two-goal performance from Victoria MacIntosh.

The Red Wolves will then take to the road for its next four matches beginning with an Aug. 24 matchup at Saint Louis, followed by a trip to Memphis on Aug. 26 to take on the Tigers. A-State lost a heartbreaking match to the Billikens in 2017 with a late goal in Jonesboro for one of just three home losses on the year for Arkansas State. The matchup with Memphis will mark the first regular season contest between the two schools since 2012.

The following weekend A-State will travel to the state of Oklahoma for matchups against Tulsa (Aug. 31) and Oral Roberts (Sept. 2) before returning home on Sept. 9 for its final-non conference matchup of the year against Central Arkansas.

Sun Belt Conference competition begins Sept. 16 with a road contest at Coastal Carolina, before returning to Jonesboro to take on UL Monroe (Sept. 21) and Georgia State (Sept. 23). A tough road swing follows with a trip to Louisiana on Sept. 28 and then a quick turnaround for matchup at Texas State on Sept. 30.

The Red Wolves will welcome the defending Sun Belt Conference champions South Alabama to Jonesboro on Oct. 4, followed by road at Troy (Oct. 12) and at Little Rock (Oct. 14). The squad will wrap up the regular season with a pair of home matchups against Georgia Southern (Oct. 19) and Appalachian State (Oct. 21).  

The Sun Belt Conference Tournament will take place in Foley, Ala., Oct. 31 – Nov. 4.

Arkansas State will hold an exhibition match against Lipscomb at the A-State Soccer Complex on Aug. 10.
