JONESBORO, Ark. (7/5/18) – There is limited space remaining in the Arkansas State volleyball team’s Lil’ Wolves Camp and individual skills camp so the time to sign up is now.
The Lil’ Wolves Camp is set for next Monday (July 9) and will run through Wednesday, July 11. The individual “All Skills” camp is set for July 19-21 and the Red Wolves coaching staff and squad can’t wait to help out with the camps.
Those who are interested in registering for the camp may do so online at WWW.REDWOLVESVOLLEYBALL.COM. For more information and/or questions about the camp, contact assistant volleyball coach Brian Gerwig at email@example.com or call the Arkansas State volleyball office at 870-972-3524.
The Lil' Wolves Camp will take place on the second floor of the Arkansas State HPESS facility on campus for boys and girls entering grades K-5 this upcoming fall. Campers will be introduced to the sport and build a basic skill foundation in all phases of volleyball for three nights from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. from the current A-State coaching staff and players. The cost of the camp is $80 and includes a camp T-shirt.
The individual “All Skills” camp is for girls entering grades 6-12 and will take place at First National Bank Arena. The camp is designed to offer campers a solid skill foundation in all areas of the game. Fundamental instruction will be provided for passing, setting, serving, hitting, and blocking. The camp will also include team and game situations and will cater to all skill levels while placing each camper in a group based on their level of skill.
The price of the individual camp for an overnight camper is $350 and includes three days of instruction, room and board, all meals, a camp T-shirt, and camp volleyball. The cost for a commuter camper is $300 and includes three days of instruction, lunch and dinner each day, a camp T-shirt, and a camp volleyball.
After the conclusion of these two camps, a team camp will take place July 26-28 for varsity and junior varsity high school teams. The event will include instruction from the A-State coaching staff and give campers a chance to receive one-on-one time and instruction from Arkansas State volleyball players. It will also include team building activities, on-court activities, and plenty of competition between teams at the camp.
