JONESBORO, Ark. (8/15/18) – The Arkansas State women’s bowling squad released its 2018-19 schedule Wednesday as the Red Wolves are set to compete in nine regular-season tournaments along with the fifth annual Southland Bowling League Championship.
A-State starts its slate with a trip to Fairview Heights, Ill., for the Bearcat Hammer Open Oct. 26-28. The team bowls at the Track Kat Klash Nov. 2-4 in Houston, Texas before closing out the fall portion of its schedule at the Warhawk Classic in Milwaukee, Wis., Nov. 9-11. The Red Wolves have won two straight Warhawk Classic titles.
The team returns after winter break to host its home tournament, the Mid-Winter Invitational, Jan. 11-13 at Hijinx Family Entertainment Center in Jonesboro before hitting the road for the Prairie View A&M Invitational Feb. 1-3 in Arlington, Texas. A-State travels to the Sunshine State Winter Classic in Orlando, Fla., Feb. 8-10 before ending three straight weekends of play with another trip to Texas for the Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack Invitational Feb. 15-17 in Dallas.
Arkansas State concludes regular-season play with two tournaments in March beginning with the Big Red Invite in Lincoln, Neb., March 1-3 before traveling to Smyrna, Tenn., for the Columbia 300 Music City Classic March 15-17.
The Red Wolves will bowl in the Southland Bowling League Championship event for the fifth straight season March 22-24 in Dallas, Texas and hopes to earn their 12th straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament, scheduled for April 11-13 in Cleveland, Ohio.
